Our Litigation, Arbitration & Dispute Resolution practice is a specialised practice with a strong focus on complex commercial disputes. Our lawyers have significant experience litigating in all of the Singapore Courts. They are also experienced in handling domestic and international arbitrations, being familiar with the UNCITRAL, ICC and SIAC arbitration rules.
Although a relatively young firm, our lawyers are all highly trained with years of experience and expertise gleaned from working closely with leading Senior Counsel on a wide range of local and international litigation and arbitration. Several of our lawyers have also spent significant time with leading corporate practices in other leading local and international firms. This exposure provides them with an added dimension enabling them to better understand, analyse and advise on corporate and commercial disputes.
Our lawyers have advised and acted on a wide range of claims. Indeed, they are often on the cutting edge of legal trends. For example, our lawyers have advised on a number of the recent spate of private banking-related claims as well as claim involving non-competition clauses in employment contracts.
Our lawyers have also handled enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in Singapore, and assisted in the enforcement overseas of judgments and arbitral awards obtained in Singapore. They have also assisted clients with their claims in foreign countries by working with legal counsel and other professionals in those countries. This often involves providing strategic and other advice and assistance to client’s legal counsel in these other countries as well as co-ordinating proceedings in the event clients need to commence legal proceedings in more than one country. In keeping with our aim of providing clients with customised solutions to meet their particular legal aims and objectives, our lawyers also have experience in alternative forms of dispute resolution such as mediation and negotiation. These skills are particularly useful where a negotiated outcome is far more advantageous to clients than legal proceedings.
